At me it doesnt upload properly.. Right under Halite (where D-U displays) shows my uploadspeed which is correct, set at 50KB/s, but on the download itself it shows under 1KB/s. At peerlist it is under 1KB/s, few peers sharing that low speed. Bug or? Tried different torrents same problem exist.

I have a serious bug to report...
Whenever i start Halite, it uses the CPU extensively and consumes huge amounts of memory for some reason (see the images)
Moreover, i don't get the GUI at all.... not minimized, in the taskbar... nothing !

Halite is still opening an additional Port on the uPnP router, and failing to release it when closed.
FiOS Westell router/gateway. Windows VISTA Ultimate.
It opens the one I manually select, but also opens one at random.
The two beginning "5" are the manual selection. The one beginning "4" is opened by Halite, seemingly without being set.
On shut down, neither is released.

Yes it stays like that no matter for how long....

Downloads very fast, but there is fragmentation issue.
Downloaded a big 5.5 GB file. "Allocation mode" was set to "Full Allocation".
But the resulting file get more than 15000 fragments, which took more than 1 hour to defragment.
The system is Windows XP Professional SP3. I am using the 7z version without installation.

I'm downloading some torrents that all consists of multiple files..
In these torrents I've picked out just a few files that I want..
These files now appear in my separate folder for "finished torrents", even though they're only at 2 - 15 %

how is it possible??
ps: i have a question: why does the number of seeds appear only for torrents in download and not for the finished ones?

Halite is probably marking them as "slow torrents" -- which by your checkmark, you don't want to count. Thus, it starts to seed more.
If you set the hard limit, it shouldn't go beyond that.
As to your question. I really don't know how Halite does it's peer/seed counting. It seems to use a different method than other torrent software.

I set the "active seeds hard limit" to 3 and I disabled "don't count slow torrents", but it isn't working again.
and which is the difference between "seeding" and "completed"?

i have a bug... could you fix the seeding ratio bug. its not working
i love halite but the seeding ratio option is broken in this build.
Tw@in 28 snorts, removes a duplicate message about this by OSMAN on the forum and warns never to do this again. Once is enough.

First off, just tried halite a few days ago and love it. Thank You.
I've found a couple of very minor bugs. The first is that when using the file view on a torrent it will not sort the files by size. It seems like it wants to, and for a split second I can see the list sorted as requested, but it immediately switches back to being sorted by name.
The second is it creates folders and downloads files for things that are marked as "don't download" before the torrent is ever started. Most of the files downloaded are small, but occasionally a 2GB file is downloaded despite being marked not to.

the hour of halite is not the same than the system one.

Here's another one:
..happened when I tried to remove torrent and data for two torrents simultaneously.
None of them had a long filename.

Since I installed the new version 0.3.2.2 torrents seem to go good till 99% (small torrents 50MB max do finish)
Then they slow down at 99% and the last percent always goes very slow (all seeds are dropped but stays connected to 2-3 seeds).
Mostly they slow down and then trickle in in about 15 minutes (speed drops to 0 to 2KB and fluctuates between these values.)
Upload stays at max speed.
When I stop and resume the torrent, the torrent finishes instantly at full speed again.
I download mostly from private fast trackers so it is not on their end, i think.

@ mo3ulla: Have you tried x86 version, as I suggested in your topic?
AFAIK, it should work even on x64 PCs, and it might advisable for anyone experiencing this kind of leak to temporarily switch to it, while our Developer investigates on the issue.

I've been getting this error for a while with almost all of the torrents:
2010-Apr-22 09:41:58.817825 None, OS reported error for file 'S:/( TORRENTS )/***.flac'; *** file (S:/( TORRENTS )/***.flac) error: The system cannot read from the specified device (Translated) ... 2010-Apr-22 09:41:59 None, Torrent Error alert The system cannot read from the specified device (Translated), ***. 2010-Apr-22 09:41:58.817825 Warning, Torrent error: The system cannot read from the specified device (Translated), (***) 2010-Apr-22 09:41:59 None, state() - in error
The error persists even after restarting Halite.

@ xacco: Did you check your HD for errors, recently? From the error, I can surmise this is some kind of writing-to-disk issue, so a check might come in handy to understand if it really is Halite's fault. An unsupported filesystem or simply data corruption might cause the above....can you please check?

I guess the best way to check the disc is through: Disc properties -> Tools -> Check errors.
Done and no errors found. Furthermore I have been using "bad utorrent" since these errors first appeared without problems. JDownloader doesn't seem to suffer from disc problems either.
Just in case you need the information: W7 (32bit) + NTFS
Will wait for a new version.
Thank you.

What kind of problem/bug maybe is this:
Surely has influence to my downloadspeed which starts fast and drops very quick after those ''errors'' I guess.

I got a pretty major and annoying one. Due to it's nature, a screenshot really won't help.
First off, a torrent must be downloading or seeding.
Ok, basically if a torrent's data is on a drive that is not in the system at the time, those torrents listed will kind of freak out. Their status will literally be blank, and you can't stop or pause them - you can only delete the torrent. This is particularly bad if you had torrents downloading/seeding from your last session, because once you open Halite again, those torrents will get borked right away and you don't even have a chance to stop or pause them.
It would be REALLY great if they would just have a status of "drive missing" or something, and have the torrent be stopped.
__________________________________________________
EDIT: Got another one. If you try to add a different torrent that uses the same name (NOT filename, but in-client name), it will either not add at all, or will add but start overwriting the other torrent's data files. If you try to remove the second torrent, it will keep coming back. If you try to remove the 1st torrent, then add the second, Halite will think you added the 1st torrent instead.
FIX: It turns out that in the "torrents" folder in the Halite directory, if you delete the torrent file that corresponds to the 1st torrent after removing it from Halite's in-program list, the 2nd torrent will be added successfully.

I got a bug here too. When I pause a torrent and try to resume the torrent with the ui button it won't start. But when I right click on the torrent to resume, it work. Have anyone else this problem?
